We took our Cub Scout Pack on the 3 mile canoe trip with CFCL and we all had a great time! The staff was very friendly and well organized for a Saturday morning with a couple of large groups waiting to get on the river.
Putt-putt golf to top off the trip and a short walk to Canal Fulton make this an all around great place to have fun.
Only 4 stars just cause of the drought this year. Deeper water would make the experience much better. Still had fun though. Will be back next season again.
The trip is mostly under tree canopy with areas open to the sky above. There is a lot of tree debris in the river so be ready to maneuver around that. The water was slow moving and shallow so it's great for kids.
Helpful staff and very affordable camping. You can fish in the river right from your camp site! Have strong line 20+ pound test. I do not advise any wading. Once night fell, we saw a few massive snapping turtles. Good fun! Also, there's a mini putt golf course!
Loved this so much. Me and my brothers came here, and I come here often. Super easy and smooth process to pay and board the canoe. Every employee was extremely nice, and even let us hang out and play music for a while in the parking lot. Love this place Highly reccomend. 2017 season bring your YMCA card for 15% off!!
Staff very helpful getting are own equipment in and out of the river. Very quiet and scenic river. Great place to take your family.
